Theme release – cleanchase

I’ve received a number of emails inquiring if I would be releasing the theme I’m using on my site. The answer is yes, as of today I’m releasing the theme, titled “cleanchase”. In doing so, I’d like to thank Bryan Helmig of Mid Mo Designs for allowing me to use, tweak, hack, and otherwise mangle his clean-home theme upon which my theme is heavily based.

I will be releasing this theme under the GPL. As of today, I’ve created a Google project as I’d like to continue to develop this theme and eventually get it into the wordpress theme codex. I’ve fallen back in love with WordPress and would like to give back to the community.

There are several area’s I’d think need to be addressed – none overly complex or crazy. I’ve just been pressed for time more so than I would like as of late. The intention is to style a contact form (using the contact7) plugin and clean up the comments section a bit too. If you have more free time than I do or would like to contribute to the project, feel free to shoot me an email. You can view the project here: http://code.google.com/p/cleanchase/

Special thanks goes to Keith Solomon who I’ve dubbed a “wordpress mad scientist and hacker”. He’s always going thru my code and correcting mistakes and otherwise annoying me by telling me how I could do things more efficiently.

I hope you enjoy the theme. If there is a feature you’d like to see added to the theme, drop me a note. If you decide to use the theme, let me know that as well.
